They are found in water and soil and can survive for prolonged periods in moist environments.
Clinical significance
Rarely encountered in clinical and environmental samples.
They have been isolated from a variety of clinical sources, including blood from a patient with a hematological malignancy.
They have also been recovered from sputa of persons with cystic fibrosis (CF).
